Our Behavioral Health Professionals

Dr. Longs has been dedicated to the mental health of our community for over 25 years. After receiving his psychiatric doctorate from Wayne State University his passion and commitment to the mental health of children, adults and seniors have been unmatched. Dr. Longs is a champion for the prevention of juvenile adjudication and establishing a sense of hope for those who have experienced the Juvenile Justice System. With his treatment of behavioral and psychiatric disorders, he is a staff psychiatrist of The Juvenile Assessment Center of Wayne County and Northeast Guidance Center/CMH Agency in Detroit. A thoughtful practitioner of psychopharmacology, his emphasis is on patient education to ultimately improve treatment compliance and clinical stabilization. Dr. Longs also serves as preceptor of Psychiatry Residents from Michigan State University/ Wayne County Mental Health Authority.


Dr. Leno is a native of Detroit and licensed psychologist in the state of Michigan. She obtained her M.A. in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology. And completed her doctoral degree at Saybrook University in California. Dr. Leno has several years of experience providing court ordered psychological evaluations, therapy and coaching to individuals and organizations. She has worked with clients of all ages and backgrounds, from children to athletes. Dr. Leno offers a special intensive therapy with special interests that include performance anxiety, situational depression, and effects of social media on mental health.
Dr. Harris deep commitment to addressing adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatry spans over 25 years. He specializes in providing knowledge, instruction and supervision to psychiatry residents in outpatient community mental health facilities. As he has received Clinical Honors at Lafayette Clinic, Dr. Harris also served as the Chief Resident at Hawthorn Center and Detroit Psychiatric Hospital; an Area IV Resident Representative for the American Psychiatric Association; President of the Resident section at Michigan Psychiatric Society and American Psychiatric Association of Minority Fellowship. Dr. Harris graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine, completing his residency at the Detroit Psychological Institute of Adult Psychiatry.

Renee holds a passion for removing the stigma surrounding those seeking treatment for mental health and substance use disorders. Renee services adolescents and their families in a way that allows them to maintain or acquire dignity and worth with competence, integrity and a commitment to social justice for those she encounters. Renee is a Limited Licensed Social Worker (LLMSW) in the State of Michigan. Renee graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Areas of practice include: Adolescent and adult substance use, anxiety and depression, crisis intervention and trauma-focused interventions.

ABOUT US
LLSM is a 501(c)(3) non-profit company devoted to artist focused behavioral health matters. We are composed of professionals from the fields of Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work and Law. It is our desire to find new, eclectic and inventive ways to address issues of mental health wellness in the urban community. It is our hope that our approach will improve not only the use and effectiveness of mental health services but also the erasure of the stigmas associated with treatments for mental health.
